Its brown now? I've never seen one. And assuming you mean MB, not KB, yeah I don't think Vista would even boot or install on 256. 512 is torture. 1GB is BARELY passable. 2GB is acceptable but with RAM prices today, you may as well throw in 4GB (and net about 3.3GB on 32bit) and be done with it.
