You are gonna lose atleast $5K since you wont get your tax/title/license money back as well as losing $2-3K off invoice. Why the hell would you want to trade it for a Civic Si, if its gas mileage I would urge you to wait till your car breaks in and drive with a light foot. I was getting 18-19MPG's out of mine and with easing up on the throttle a bit Im getting 23MPG's. This is with a 50/50 mix of driving. On the highway if you keep it under 80 you can see 30MPG's with no problem. I know thats not civic mileage but its really not bad when you consider how much more of a car your driving. Here is something to keep in mind as well if you consider the $5K hit your gonna take.
Figure the TL-S will get you 20MPG's and the Civic will get you 30MPG's....... Lets figure on $4.50/gallon and that you drive 15K miles/year. The TL-S will use 750 gallons of fuel and the Civic will use 500 gallons. The $5K your gonna lose dumping your car now will buy you 1111 gallons...... at that rate you wont start saving money for 4.4 years
