Car 1: 86 5speed legend 4d
Car 2: 90 integra LS
ok ima give you a little bit of info, im sure you'll get hella info with this thread..soak it in buddy..

check the sticky at the top of forum to find out you base stock, hp numbers for the cars you interest in...for instence my integra LS is a base HP of 142...

i believe 3rd gen teg GSR's are the only vtec ones...

as far as LS motor being a vtec, you can do a conversion, ls/vtec but its gonna cost the same as puting a gs-r motor in ..so you figure that out .....

gs-r are the beefy more powerful stock models....type r are very rare and you better be ready to spend some real cash on one...just couse there an emblem dosent mean nothing now adays.....

vtec is a powerband in honda motors... or varible valve timeing technology for a power boost at high rpm...and has a cool sound aswell....lol...

turbo is a upgrade on hondas, for specifics, its acceleration, forced air suction, to produce more power at mid level rpm, basiaclly, acceleration, and quicker top end speed reaching,...turbo can vary on you setup, you can tune for speed or acceleration.....b18a1 motors are a very good boost motor becouse if the blocks can handle alot more torge and power then 3rd gen b16 exe..motors..

lower miles the better, of course, but if i was you look for a integra that is fully stock, no mods, it more fun to do your own, plus you know the real quality of the car, .... some people build em up, and sell em cheap couse the fucked something up....good luck

driving stick is all about timing, and practice, and like i tell people its always better to practice on someone else shit..lol...as ignorat is that is...lol....

great first car, fun car, cool car, possibly cheap car, depending on miles an model...good on gas, and now adays that is a must

i dunno what you mean about check ups..?

good integras, look clean, no rust, no dents ..duh..dont smoke, dont burn oil,
generally idle at 750 rpms smooth..

bad integras are lemons, but depending on you money, willing to build, effort to build/replace, and the shell<body> is in good shape...there is no bad teg...if your willing to build it up....

for a first gen.... i would not pay more then 2000$

2nd gen, i would not pay more then 3500

3rd gen, depends on if its a gsr or type r...but rs gs ls can be around ne where from 2500-6000$.... depending on where bought, from whom, miles, condition, model, upgrades, ..............

integras are a whole counter culture, so you always have something new to do, or something cool to learn, great to drive...

if you purchase something, and dont know alot about cars yet, i would do the suspension before motor work, so you can still drive vehicle regularly, and get a feel for what the car can do, before you add parts and plus's you may not be ready for, both finnacially, and phisically......dont be a statistic man, its not worth it....

GL...shop around...make your decision based on what you like, and what you wanna do....

im sure everyone will have something different to say and something new to add to intice you decision making processs.....good luck
