Let me give u an example that I went through myself, my old Mazda Protege which I still drive right now when I brought it in on a 90K service 3 years ago they say I need to replace my brake pads and my rotor too cuz is below spec (whatever that means), I m like no thanks cuz I know how to do it myself. Guess what? I open it up myself and about to replace all of them, the rotor look just fine to me, but brake pad looks a little thin. So I decided to only replace my brake pad.

HERE is the kicker, now that it is 3 years later with 133K miles on my car..like 43K miles later, I still haven't replace that rotor and my brake still work just fine, no squeking sound or whatever. What is that tell u, whatever the machanic told me b4 is all BS. And this is only a Mazda I m talking about not even a high-end luxury car. I would think Acura rotor would last a lot longer than just merely 40K miles on it. At least 100k if not more or am I wrong?

Yeah I totally agree. I did just start to hear my breaks squeak a little and I had no flutter or shaking from braking so I dont see how my rotors are bad. They said that I only had 2mm pad thickness when I should have 10. They said I should have recieved an inspection report when I bought the car (never did), but the Acura C/S rep said that the dealer service manager said there was 5mm of pad when I bought the car which according to the specs is the minimum that there could be without them replacing them.

I yelling total BS to this rep and demanding they at the very least replace my pads for free. If I had been told that the minimum amount of break pads were on the car when I bought it, I would have had them replace them before I bought the car. The salesman did such a terrific job selling me on how a CPO car is just as good as buying a new car, blah blah blah...

Anyone know where there is a service schedulued maintenance interval list online?
