Just started acting up last week out of nowhere. I first noticed a couple of times from a standing start I would feel a minor jolt when accelerating. Then later that day I eased off the gas to change lanes and the engine slipped out of gear, rev'd up and slammed back into gear.
Next time I drove it was to the dealer and they confirmed it was the transmission.
The only warning sign was at my 90K service my mechanic told me that the transmission oil was really dirty and asked if I had skipped the change at 60K. When I told him I hadn't, he said he wanted to check the transmission oil every 7.5K miles to make sure there weren't any problems developing with the transmission.
