Just remember, like Sky pointed out, the temperature will not be considered accurate until you are traveling 35 mph or greater for at least 5 minutes and there are no other cars directly in front of you. Especially if the vehicle experiences a dramatic temperature change (like out of a warm garage in winter). The gauge is designed to update slowly so you don't constantly see different numbers jumping up and down every minute.
