I have owned a 2013 Acura RDX FWD for 17 months (11k miles) and I have experienced this dreaded vibration from day 10 (funny -> only 10 days of happiness)
I have been to 2 different dealership to complain about this problem and on both occasions, after driving with the tech foreman, and even after they have "felt" the humming noise and subtle vibration, I have been given the 'normal specs' crap. I even called Acura corporate to complain about this issue and I was given the same type of treatment. Basically they don't (or don't want) to acknowledge that there is a problem.
Yes, they issued a TSB for vibration in the drive train but my car is not included because it is a FWD. I just wished that there was a non-hacking way (switch) to disconnect the dreaded VCM because I would gladly give up 2 mpg if it means getting rid of this stupid problem.
This whole issue, together with noisy suspension, bothers me to no end; but I have resigned myself to the fact that I have 2 choices: Either 1. Live with it [have worked with self-affirmations but they dont seem to work] or 2. Trade it. I am still considering my options (lexus NX 200T or lincoln MKC 2.3T) but I can simply said that the way my mind is working now, I dont see myself buying another Acura in the future.
