Car 1: 90 Legend Coupe L
There are 2 choices for Coilovers for a G1.

1. Cheap Ebay Coilovers (garbage) Ride like crap and are WAY to stiff for daily driving

2. Ground Control Coilovers (Very Nice) The best coilover system you can get before spending $1000's on a full system, ride is good and handles great.

Personally I went with Eibach Pro-Kit's and Bilstien Self Adjusting Struts on my G1 and I love it, pretty damn smooth for a car thats lowered 2.00inches all the way around, yet when you push it in a corner it stiffens up automatically and pins you in the seat.

The really nice thing about the crappy-riding coil-overs is that it's a piece of cake to change the springs before installing the kit. Then you get appropriate rates and whatever drop you want. I'm fixing to document the G1 spring rates (coupe and sedan) so as to determine a relevant starting point.

the tokico/eibach settup is in! wow, what a difference! 1.25" drop, no more squat during heavy acceleration, no more dive under heavy breaking, no more excessive body roll, nor more loss of traction on inside front tire during hard banked turns (hence, no more corkscrewing during understeer). the car is more or less predictable now, understeers and oversteers flat--not at a diagonal (i.e. only front right and left rear tracking) like it used to. one of the best upgrades yet. the ride is a little stiffer but my passengers don't seem to mind and i like not having that "floating"feel anymore... just watch the clearance on dips, potholes, alley enterances, large chunks of ice, etc...

For the 86-88 sedans, unfortunetly, there's not much in terms of options. When I had my 87 sedan, I had it dropped on Intrax springs with Bilstein struts up front and KYB GR-2 in the back.
