JDM C32a Type II
So my Vigor runs great, I fixed all the problems I had, but Ive got a little extra money and I can afford to have my car be undriveable for a while, also a JDM C32a longblock motor from a legend has kinda dropped into my lap, it has 48k on it and there's not a thing wrong inside... It looks like it might fit under my hood... Anyone think its possible? I don't know much about swapping engines but if it can be done than I can do it eventually.

I dont think so, youre going from a 2.5L to a 3.2L. probly not a direct swap like a D16 and B18.
gonna have to fabricate I think

Well, they sit the same direction. Possibly would have to swap transmissions to mount up.
Don't see why not. Good luck.

It's never been done. From what I know about Vigors, the inline5 does not mate up with any other transmission but the Vigor's. The Vigor's hood sits exceptionally low, and that's thanks to the 45 degree slant that the i5 produces. The axles won't mate up properly either.
If you've got the time, it'll be nice to see what you can come up with. But more likely than not, you'll need some welding done in order to mount the engine, then further modification to properly line up the tranny and diff. to the axle. |
