Time to bid a fond farewell to all things Honda. After 22 years of having a Honda product in the garage, I'm leaving the fold.
A chronological history:
1) 1981 Accord hatchback, blue, 5-speed. A good econobox that rusted out beneath me.
2) 1985 Accord SEi sedan, grey, 5-speed. Honda dips it's toe in the affordable small-sedan luxury segment, with leather interior and sunroof.
3) 1989 Accord SEi sedan, grey, auto. Nice car, leather, Bose factory stereo. I drove it over 100k miles.
4) 1993 Acura Legend L sedan, black, auto. The Honda goodness squared. Bought it with about 80k and doubled the mileage. Things started to go wrong mechanically at the end, the worst being a blown head gasket and rust in the rear quarters. but a nice ride and car, overall.
5) 1994 Acura Vigor GS, black, auto (yes, I like black cars). My failed experiment in buying a car off eBay.

Problems from day one. This car was abused during it's life and I got to clean up the mess. Factor in the niggling problems common to the Vigor (oil leaks, faulty gauges, flaky lock/alarm contacts), and this was a disappointing way to remember my Honda odyssey by (pun intended). Selling the car to a neighbor up the street. I should just give it to him; I'll probably have to give him some of his money back when he comes back in 30 days with yet another issue.
From the snotty Honda car salemen to the overpriced service, I won't be back. Au revoir, fans
