Chosen by you, the readers, AutoGuide.com can announce the winner in its first-ever Reader’s Choice Luxury Crossover of the Year Award — the 2013 Acura
Valued as the opinions and experiences expressed here are, it can’t be overstated how important your own preferences are. That’s why AutoGuide polled its reader base including more than 30 million monthly visitors across its car enthusiast forum network. The results were precise and definite in each category, not the least of which being luxury crossovers.
Acura dropped the turbo four cylinder engine in favor of a 3.5-liter naturally-aspirated V6. With that change, the AutoGuide editorial team found the car to be more refined and while less engaging, an overall improvement, writing “it’s lighter and more fuel-efficient. It’s also significantly more refined. There’s less of what people didn’t really use and more of what they want.”
Starting at $34,320 or $35,720 for the all-wheel drive version, the 2013 RDX runs up to $38,020 (FWD) and $39,420 (AWD) with the tech package equipped. That, combined with its practicality make the crossover an astute purchase within its segment.
