Now that I've been using v2 for a day or so, I don't really like it as much as v1 anymore...
The monotone color scheme of the thread listings are just a little harder to read: - In v1, the thread titles are black (regular or bold), the new thread envelope shaped images (normal or hot) are either yellow or reddish, and the first post button is blue. Because of the completely different colors, things stand out a bit better... The black thread titles are easily distinguishable from the blue First Post buttons next to it, and the red Hot threads are easily distinguishable from the yellow Normal threads. -In v2, everything is just some similar shade of dark gray. The Hot/Normal thread envelope images are exactly the same colors with the exception of a few pixels worth of flames behind the envelope for the Hot threads. The thread titles are the exact same color as the First Post buttons, and at first, I thought that was just a decoration... I had no idea those 3 little cubes were the First Post button until I hovered over it. What I do like are the various graphical additions, like the v2 banner at the top, and the subtle images added to the small Display Options and Posting Rules sections at the bottom left corner of some pages. I also like the new buttons within posts that actually SAY stuff, rather than just having abstract images to signify things. Now the buttons say Online or Offline for each member, rather than having just that green light go on or off, and the multi quote tool actually says "Multi On"/"Multi Off", rather than just the abstract " "+ " image from before. I love those little additions, but the monotone colors of the thread listings just looks slightly harder to read as well as....kinda boring. Enough so to keep me from wanting to immediately switch from v1 to v2.
