I have been meaning to ask, how is 3G coverage where you live, and how has the battery life been? I hear bad stories about the phone not being able to last a work day.

What a fucking debacle AT&T made getting a 3G so far for me.
Recount: I've still not used my rebates from my original iPhone - so I figure I'll use em to get a 3G. Go to the store on Sunday to get one - all in stock! Go inside, no line. WTF - too easy. Guy gets my info and says I can't buy one there because of a corporate discount. Ok - I'll just get them to remove it - hold this for me. He gives me the "good luck, bub" look. I call AT&T and ask them to remove it. "This will take 4 to 72 hours and we'll send you a text when it's finished". Monday morning, I call - they still have the black 16G so I head over to the AT&T corporate store to make sure they have the discount off my account. They say it is so I head over to the apple store, and call the apple store while on the way to check availability. Now there's a line, but a short one. Guy comes out to pre-qualify folks (check their ability to buy one, etc) and gets to me. He asks me what I'm there for - I say the black 16G. He says they have only the white 16G (WTF apple - who in their fucking right mind would buy a white phone??????). I leave pissed off at AT&T for wasting my time and frustrating me to no end. Being the conscious consumer I am, I call them and insist they compensate me for my time and frustration and ask what they are doing to prevent this from happening, seeing how it's their policy. She says "I don't know but I hope we do soon - I get a lot of calls about this issue and no one is ever happy. I'll give you a $30 account credit for your troubles." So I'm out probably 100 miles in round trips, at least 2-3 hours of my time and probably a few thousand extra beats of my heart. The cell phone industry is a great example of how "market forces" do NOT force companies to be better or do better. They all suck. /end rant

And I think Comcast sucks!
I'm hearing a lot of "unfavorable" things about the 3G iPhone. Besides battery life, the keyboard / display is sloooow and 3G drops quite frequently. Not to drag this through the mud but I'm really happy I didn't buy either iPhone.

The phone itself is rockin. It's the "new combined AT&T" that sucks.
I don't want my phone, cell, dsl, etc from one place. I want them separate so you don't fuck em all up. Grr.

3G coverage sucks right now. when im in the house i usually sitting anywhere with 1-3 bars. Outside it's beyond that. Battery life is good. I let my phone completely die out before i charge it again. So no complaints with that. update 2.0.1 just came out 2 days ago. I really don't see anything different though. Maybe a little smoother.
