New Phone Plan Dilemma
I just got a six month account review of our three lines and what we use, etc. from Verizon. Yeah, I know, but they are the best game in town, and I'm going to stay with them for a while. They are offering an expanded plan for only $5/month more, which I think is really a pretty good deal.
The problem is, the three phone upgrades I'm being offered are: 1. Moto W755 @ $49.99 2. MotoRizr z6tv @ 69.99 3. LG Voyager @ 149.99 Which one? Thanks for the help. ![]()

The LG Voyager seem to have a better review then the Moto W755, I'm not to sure about the, MotoRizr z6t,
I have own both LG, and Motorola phones, I notice the battery doesn't last to long, so watch out for that, if your into sending text, it would be much easier to do that with the Moto Rizr z6t

I was thinking about bagging a voyager when my contract comes up in a month or so, I've messed around with it quite a bit at the verizon kiosk in our store and it's pretty tight. I have an LG now that's pretty awesome too. $150 is pretty much the going rate for those with a new 2-year.
In my experience, LG > everyone when it comes to phones, but that's just me. |

Was just playing around online. I could also bag a Blackberry Pearl for $99.99.
That seems to be a pretty solid phone, but I am definitely leaning towards the Voyager.

I really liked the last 2 Sony Ericsson's that I had - but they don't make a Moto Q type of phone. I was a real MotoFanBoi for a couple of years but they seemed like they were just stuck riding the coattails of the Razer success.
I do like the Q - but the S/E's still have the best sound and battery life. Check out Howardforums.com for some very experienced reviews and opinions on anything cellular. Good luck! ![]()

Thanks, John. VZN doesn't carry the S/E lineup at all. Pity, too.
The MotoQ is available, but my cost on a new plan is $250. ![]()

Well . . . if you have a data plan in place and if you have a PDA and if you run Outlook . . . It's a worthy phone - if you can swallow the $249.00 price!

Yes, the new plan will have a minimal data service in place.
Definitely leaning to the Blackberry Pearl. Somebody talk me into the MotoRizr. ![]()

That's pretty much just a slider version of the razr, from what I can tell. Nothing THAT special about it, really.
Get the voyager so you can tell me whether I should buy one in a month or not. ![]() |

Matt, something that needs to be said about LG phones is that the batteries that come with them totally suck. Just figure on buying the extended life battery as soon as you get one.

I have a Voyager. I like it. I paid above $200 for it early this year, and that was with an upgrade from Verizon. $149 is a great deal for the Voyager.

Well, I didn't buy either or.
I got the LG enV. Great price, too. $100 after rebate.

Pearl ftl man....my mom got one a few months back...I cant stand it...dont get me wrong...its an OK phone for her work needs, but the browser sucks and its hard as HELL to type ANYTHING (text msgs, url's, emails, etc)...
Also, the Voyager will require you to get a minimally beefy data plan that can help you avoid "nickel and diming" yourself to death... Check this out for Verizon...I plan to try these strategies when I get my new phone and contract next month...I hope they are still relevant, but they are definitely worth taking a look at imo: Verizon: 8 Confessions Of A Former Verizon Sales Rep EDIT: LOL Im too late well a good read anyhow...

Nope. The local store was sold out of Voyagers, so I went with the env2. Nice little phone.
So far, I like it a bunch. ![]()
