Video Card

Hey guys, I just brought a new desktop, and I'm looking for a video card, the computer did came with a dvi cable but, just not the video card with dvi in/out put.

I'm looking to spend up to $150, any idea which one I should pick?

Can't answer that question unless you tell us what graphic slot you have. Is it PCI-e, AGP or PCI?

Actually, what is more important to know is what you plan to use your computer for. The computer spec would help too.

Is PCI I thought I posted that, I guess not, well I'm going to be doing some photo editing, playing games, watching dvd, my daughter is also going to use it for her learning software.

You get get the spec here HP Pavilion a6303w-b Desktop PC w/ 20.1" LCD Monitor & Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor E2140 - Wal-Mart yeah I brought it at Walmart, I didn't felt like spending to much on it.

You have PCI-e x16. I suggest you go for the nvidia 8600GT, which is around your price range. If you can spend a bit more, the best bang for your buck would be the 8800GT.

Be careful with the 8600... you may need a stronger power supply for it. I can check specs tomorrow at work, but I'm going to sleep now
