I think we did have one a while back...don't remember it lasting very long though. Some of us are only fluent in grilling

Damn! BOTH, John! Applebees (though some peeps voiced some disapproval) and Olive Garden! I used to buy their dressing 3 bottles at a time! Also, my favorite...the all you can eat soup and salad! Always tasty, at least two soups to swap back and fourth and I love their salad.

Otherwise, 3rd place is the Italian Oven.

One day, Matt, I'm sure you'll put down your Jews harp, turn off your Atari, put your little battery-operated pink piano toy away, glance at your frisbee and think, "Damn! I feel like trying my hand at Cordon Bleu!"

I'm sorry, CG, I shouldn't hijack your thread.

And, maybe the younger guys would appreciate your offer (well, except for Willie/NOS who seems to do quite well at cooking) but I can promise you ONE thing: THIS guy (that would be me) is the person in this house who breaks open one of the 15 cookbooks and tries out something new. Even regular stuff...like, the other day I heated up some salsa for our scoops and a movie and I decided to heat up some Mexican corn to throw in it. Or left over taco meat turns into a "taco omelet" the next morning.

I believe variety is the spice (pun intended) of life when it comes to food. (and, sex, too )

Here are some pears cooked in a mix of pear juice and honey. Then the holes (where the core was) are filled with goat cheese herbs and walnuts and broiled in the oven. The side dishes are baguette with goat cheese and a salad with walnuts.

I don't have the exact recipe anymore and anyway it was in French

The picture and the presentation sucks also... but it was soooo good
