Talking New Member - 97 3.2TL Base

Hello everyone, Here's some basic info on me!

* Name: Phil
* Current Vehicle: 1997 Acura 3.2TL Base as of 1 Oct 2008
* Current Milage: 135,000 and counting
* Home: Detroit Michigan, USA aka "The D"!
* Current obsession: My new used Acura!
* Current job: System Integrator - InfoTech Security
* Current job: Military Reservist

After recovering from a head-on collision that totalled my last vehicle, and spending alot of time researching reliable and safe used cars, I finally found a match!

I'm looking forward to driving my first Acura, and expect it to last for many years to come!

Regards,
Phil

And, these aren't the quickest, fastest, best handling cars performance wise, but they are solidly built--somewhat like a tank!!!

All the posts I've read and info from consumer reports, etc basically say the same thing that you said i.e. (A solid, reliable entry level luxury sedan).

Heck this car is almost 12 years old so I don't expect it to have the finesse of a new Acura, but it's certainly better than most daily drivers of the same age!

On a second note, I would have liked to purchase an RL, but on a limited budget and my location (Detroit), they are hard to find.

No, they came both 3.2 and 2.5. The two models were the base and the premium package.

I like the first gen TL's, very clean looking for an entry level luxury sedan.

Thanks for the welcomes!

It's nice to read other people validate my decision to purchase the TL. While I've only put a few miles on it (taking it in to be detailed, and for some new tires) I’m looking forward to getting it out on the road to put it through its paces.

Regards,
Phil

Here's some photos I took this weekend. It cleaned up pretty well for a midwest car with snow and salt winters!

Not bad.
