new NSX to be unveiled at San Fran auto show!!!

Hey NSXers - according to insider info from Acura, the next generation NSX is going to be unveiled at the San Francisco auto show next month!!!

The car should be released in Spring '05, and estimated price tag is between $60-65K. Rumor has it that the new generation will have a high performance steel body to crush the Lexus/Mercedes/BMW competition in its class.

The dates for the show are November 23rd - November 30th, 2003, and here's the website:

I would be surprised if Acura unveiled the new NSX at the San Francisco Auto Show.

No offense to the show, but it does not have the prestige that one would expect for such an important debut.

I really hope you are wrong about the steel body.

I agree. And if they are using a steel body I think they would need a significant HP boost to crush the competition. The rumors have been no V8, so if they are sticking to a high output V6, I think an all aluminum car at a price of $100K is probably more likely. At least I hope so. I can't afford a $100K car, but I saved and worked hard for my current used NSX and I really want the next generation NSX to be better so I have another goal to work toward.

DAMN STEEL Body!!! How heavy is this thing??? High performance??? I'd go with the all out Titanium body. Steel is too heavy. 60-65K for a supercar with Midengine Rearwheel drive? I doubt it. But if it does cost that much it will definately crush the SC430 and the SL 500. fo sho!

It's all speculation right now. There have been photos and configurations floating around for years. The current rumor is of a Tokyo introduction in October, followed perhaps by San Fran.

nsxprime is showing a new photo that I hope is not the new NSX.
