Hello.

I was wondering if anyone could answer a quick question for me.

If you are comparing (externally) a 2005 TypeS to a 2006 Type S how can you tell the difference? I know the lights were changed beginning in 2005 but how can you tell the difference between an 05 and an 06?

Its the SAME car.... just different year.

you wouldn't be able to tell from outside nor from the inside just because they're exactly the same car.

I'm sure they are pretty much the same car but no car maker would make them EXACTLY the same. That's just not done. Lights, molding, trim, curve of a spoiler... Maybe you have to climb under the vehicle to see it but there has to be something somewhere.

The only noticable difference is on the Magnesium Metallic color, which on 05 had the tan leather, and the 06 has the ebony leather... Other than that, it's the same exact car. No updates made. Car makers don't update their cars every single year. They did it in 05, no need to do it in 06.

yes they do. the 2005 and 2006 acura integras are IDENTICAL shape, form, and function wise. Only one color was added.

i could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time... but doesn't the 05 have 210hp and the 06's have 201?

on paper, yes. in reality they're putting out the same hp, it's just a difference in the testing standards used.

yeah basically it's like they tested the 05 with everything off (A/C and all), and then for 06 they tested the car and everything turned on. That's what the new standards require.
