You were probably thinking of the NSX. They stopped making that one in '05 so that they could put out a new one in a year or 3 w/ a hybrid powertrain, I think.

Hooray for Acura renaming everything with the same 5 letters!

The 06 is supposed to be the last rsx, but i really hope it isnt. THe 06 is the same exact thing as the 05 except they added some new exterior colors.

no, the testing standards changed. The 05 and 06 have the same hp, which is more then the 02-04. The 05 was advertised as 210hp, and the 06 is advertised as 201. They both have identical motors and powertrain. Honda just started running their testing with AC and other shit running, which made the advertised HP drop. Same exact car tho. The rsx-s from 02-04 was 200hp, and the 05 and 06 tested at the same standards as the 02-04 is 210hp.

Yes the RSX is supposed to be axed from the Acura line after 06. Whether that's true or not we'll have to see. They may let it linger for another year. Why not? Easy sales on an established platform..just let it be a cash cow for another year.

i dont think that the integra should ever be a cash cow. either it should be a sporty, lightweight, technologicly superior, car or they should just cut it. they shouldnt ruin the rep of the teg just bc they want to make a few more bucks. its a fwd legend and they should keep it a legend

Wrong, they changed Satin Silver Metallic to Alabaster Silver Metallic and then changed the interior of the Magnesium metallic to ebony. That's not somenew colors, that's a replacement color.

Wrong, hybrid powertrain on the NSX? More like a 93 Octane sucking V10.

wrong, it's 8 letters, M, R, S, D, L, N, X and T.

This is a mis-informed thread.

You're right KEV!!! I wonder where they got a hybrid powertrain on the NSX replacement. What I heard is what you said!!! A fucking mind blowing V10 Baby!!! Hell Yeah!!! I can't wait to read reviews, especially when they compare it with the one Lexus is coming out with and the new skyline (which by the way its looks already suck!!!). I hope the acura kicks fucking ass dude.

also there was a little write up on exactly whats different:

2005 RSX Information

So your wondering whats so new and special about the 2005 RSX, or you just want to know what parts are currently available that will work. Well heres a short list of some of the major upgrades from 2004 to 2005:
-210 hp and 143ft/lb torque
-Better cams (PRC aka Type R)
-Redesigned Throttle Body
-8100 rpm redline (8400 fuel cutoff)
-New gauges
-better leather and new interior accents
-new headlights/taillights and bumpers
-new 17" wheels
-lower ride height (3mm)
-better header & exhaust systems
-inversely wound springs (suspension)
-better sway bar/tie bars
-and lots more

hope that clears it up alittle....i thought it was interesting that the 05's have a new engine code (k20z1) as opposed to the k20a2 in the earlier rsx-s
