The background is just overexposed. Being a graphic designer, I've never understood this HDR philosophy of hands off retouching.

Car looks great though!

Did the editing on my laptop - and the screen is not calibrated - so I'm not sure how these are going to look. I'll know better when I get to work tomorrow and put them up on that screen.

For now - Fall in South Jersey, at (what I think will be) Peak Colors.

Shoot time was 7:30 a.m. to about 8:15 a.m. - with tons of low on the horizon sun.

(Note the Turkey Buzzards on the ramp behind the car - they kept circling and I was afraid they were gonna drop a load on the RSX - Thankfully, they did not)







Had a NJ State Trooper pull over and ask me what I was shooting for - and then commented on how much he liked the car.

Hot damn John! Those shots are awesome! A little too much saturation in the first shot but nice nonetheless.

You said you're shooting with a Nikon. Digital or film?

D200 and, in these shots, a 70 ~ 200 Nikkor VR that I kind of forgot that I had: Was tucked in the back of a closet. Used it a lot a couple of years ago for sports photography, then it got shuffled when Terry moved 18 months ago.

Really sharp, pretty damn fast (but BIG) piece of glass!

First one I'm going to tweak for my sig pix.

I like #3 the best. Like the sharp focus on the car and the short DOF.

Yep, that's the one. I don't think I paid that much when I bought it 3 or 4 years ago. I was really surprised to see how expensive it is now.

Cannot wait to get my desktop system running so I can color edit with a calibrated system, again.

Yeah they're extremely expensive now. Amazon is selling it for $1800 (retail now is $2800 )

BTW, does your spoiler have acura emblems engraved on the sides? When your pics were loading, I saw the Acura emblem on it.

You should have told him you were scouting to blow up the trees behind the car. hehe, . Yeah seriously though, if anyone my age was there doing that, cop would probably tell us we'd have to leave.
