Battery Replacement

Does anyone have any recommendations of what battery to replace the stock 06 Type-S one with? Brand, etc?

Autozone sells this one but I'm not sure if it's overkill...

Thanks!

For a regular battery, I've tended to favor Interstate batteries.

What's the CCA rating for the stock battery anyway? Does anyone know?

Not sure, but it's pretty low for its size and almost all aftermarket batteries will have higher CCA ratings.

How well do the Interstate batteries fit into the space? Do they fit they way they are supposed to?

The one I found on their website is I-51R and the MT-51R. Not exactly inexpensive are they?

The car uses a 51R sized battery, so any 51R sized battery will fit perfectly. I tend to like the Mega-tron batteries from Interstate and they're not grossly expensive either for a good battery. In the same size grouping, I've also used the Optima Yellow top and I had 2 die on me within a year, so I don't think very highly of it at the moment.

Where did you find (or do you just know) the it uses the 51R spec size? I didn't see anything about that in the user manual for the car.

Also, the only thing that needs to be reset after chaning the battery is the radio code, right? Or is there something else I don't know about?

The ECU will reset itself, all you need is the radio code.
