I would need to know exactly what the code is to properly diagnosis the issue

It has something to do with the Odometer button while turning the ignition key. Sorry I can't be more help, but give me a minute and I'll find it!

Sorry - Don't have the link here at work. :sorry:

Typically an o2 sensor causing a CEL occurs while driving the car pretty hard, not upon starting it. However, you can try double checking the wiring to make sure it's in good condition since you often have to stretch it to make it work with aftermarket parts.
P1298= Electric load Detector/ Circut high voltage

P0141= Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor/ Heater Circuit Malfunction

Trace 2nd O2 wire from the harness to your exhaust, it may be melted and grounded itself out or pinched somewhere. rsx o2 sensor CEL has more information. Backing the o2 sensor out 5-10mm is also a good relatively free technique you can try to see if it alleviates the issue. The only way I know how to reset the CEL involves reseting everything, and it's a hassle to go to the dealer. It's cheaper to have them reset the CEL than it is to jack around for 2 hours of labor, temporarily fix the CEL, charge you to clear it, then you having to bring it back to them a month later though because the problem of too much airflow against the o2 sensor was never actually solved.

Good information! And, to AW!

As dumb as it sounds, you might also try uncapping your gas tank and letting that sit for a little bit, then fill it up with some new gas. This was probably more true back in my dad's day, but every so often you'll get some crap gas that has all kinds of junk floating around and that'll mess up your o2 sensor, which will in turn throw a CEL. Might as well check.

Good advice... when the dealer hydrolocked my engine the first thing they said to check was the fuel cap. If it's not on tight it can throw the light.

Actually just pull the ecu fuse out for 5 seconds and put it back in. Resets the CEL. No need to take it to the dealership.

Ok, so i got the same problem with check engine light. It came on, stayed on. took it to my regular mechanic, he charges me 45 bucks for diagnostics and says something like "well, problem near pre-cat O2 sensor, but it could be also wiring, computer glitch or so, to pin point u need to pay another 90 bucks"
btw, car is stock.
I was freaking out, like what the f. i just paid 45 bucks for?
So hes estimate to change O2 sensor including labor is 440$ !!!
sorry didnt expect this from honda ((((((((((
Am i getting ripped???
anyone, please.
Also, is anyone know how hard is it to change it myself?
cheapest o2 sensor i found is 200$... + labor (((((
any info is appreciated.
Thanks
