difference between the check engine and Maintance light
i know the Check Engine light mean you have to replace somethin in the engine. but what do you have to replace when the Maintance Light is on?

when the maintenance light turns on, it doesn't really mean you have to replace anything. you might just have to check a few things here and there. maybe add some liquids or something.
here's a link that should guide you on your maintenance scheduling based on mileage. again, many Thanks to Dean for putting this together. Maintnance Interval/Jobs

and just FYI, the maintenance light is set to come on at scheduled mileage, so if you're on your own oil change schedule or do it yourself then you can turn the light off on your own.
