Halo Projector Headlights

I've got HID's on my 2002 RSX-S right now, and I really like the style of the black halo projector lights. I was wondering if anyone on this forum can share any knowledge about them. All I know is that the halo means that there is a ring of light around the bulb, and that the projector means that it projects the bulb in a concentrated beam kind of like a flashlight. Has anyone installed these bad boys yet?

Projector means that the light is spread evenly and that it is sharply cut off from where you don't want it. (Given that the bulb and housing are made to work together.) The beam can be narrow or wide, depending on the shape of the housing. Obviously, since this is a car headlight, the beam is very wide. And flashlights use reflectors, not projectors, btw.

One of our members has projectors retrofitted in his 05/06 headlights. This was a one off job though.

Basically what you're looking at is a custom look and much better light output where you want it. The nice thing about the 02-04 is that you can buy premade headlights with projectors and halos. I say go for it.

Yeah - I have an 06 RSX and you can check out the 2 threads below for what's involved and how they look. As far as building them - I had Todd at Retro-Solutions fit the stock units with TSX projectors and 50 watt, 6000K HIDs and they are worth every penny. He added blue CCFL angel eyes around the high beams and I wired them into the parking lights.

I'll be starting a new thread as Todd just retro-fitted my fogs with projectors - and they are awesome. I had HIDs in the stock fogs and the projectors make such a difference.

Headlight units after retrofit but before installation:
HID Projectors - Finally Built

Install and results thread:
HID Projectors - Installed

Good luck. You can contact Todd @ custom HID, LED, CCFL specialists - retrosolutions. He is The Man when it comes to lights on cars!

He might be talking about these.

In my search for those, however, I also found these.
