HID Projectors - Finally Built

After countless e-mailed questions (and patient, informative answers); A sizable deposit in mid-February to secure my build date; Even more e-mails back and forth; several false decisions on my part - which were corrected before it cost money; Another sizable deposit (so the final payment wasn't so big in mid-September . . . Todd from Retro-Solutions sent me an e-mail early this morning saying that my `06 RSX flamethrower headlights are done - awaiting final payment - and ship out!

Final payment was made today!!

Todd also sent a couple of pix he shot last night and they are attached.

The Nuts & Bolts of the Project:
Honda/Acura 33101-S6M-A51 (Headlight Assembly)
Honda/Acura 33151-S6M-A51 (Headlight Assembly)
Honda/Acura 33126-S7A-003 (Low beam bulb seal cup)
TSX Projectors
Blue Premium Angel Eyes *installed*
D2S 4300k HID kit, 50 watt output *lifetime warranty*
Custom chrome shrouds
Installation labor

Final Project Description:
05+ RSX TSX projectors, 4300k 50 watt D2S output, blue ccfl angel eye high beams

I should have them next week. I'll be shooting several final pictures before they are installed. I will post these in this thread. Final installation should be by the end of October and I will post pictures of that as well.

Finally - a big to Todd! He's been great and patient at answering all my questions.

Yeah John, although I'm going to ask the same question that Willie asked, I think it's kind of dumb. ... But explain to us exactly how it all went down, how much and all that good stuff.

John... good to see all the parts needed, but that doesn't quite separate the parts you have to buy yourself and send to him (if there are any) vs if you just pay him a certain amount of $ and he just buys everything he needs to do the work.

I started this in mid-Feb by sending a deposit. Todd told me I was on his calendar for a mid-October build. My reaction was .

From the very beginning I knew I was going to just get another set of headlights so I could still drive my car. I sourced several places for prices and Todd said he had a contact at an Acura dealer and he could do a little better. So Todd actually sourced the new headlights.

Over the last 6 months we've been trading e-mails, with me asking questions about different options and Todd giving me all the answers.

I sent him another payment to reduce the final payment when the build was completed.

I have deliberately stayed away from pricing because every build is different; I will say that the total was somewhere south of $2000 for the TOTAL job : Parts and labor, Shipping and PayPal fees.

If you have any more specific questions - you know how to get hold of me!

If I were you guys (You and Driss) ages, I'd probably be down with that - but I'm an old fart and the light at night means more tome than the speed and sound of the Supercharger.

To everyone getting what they want!!

Thanks for all the positive comments, guys. I'll post pix when I get the headlights in.

Late Breaking News: Todd shipped them today but I'm not posting the tracking numbers . . . I don't want to see the package "Diverted" to another address. Not that I think you guys would do anything like that . . . . .
