I have an 2006 RSX-S and for the past few weeks it seems to be idling around 3 or higher when I am in nuetral. Why do you think this is happening. Its under warranty, but I just wanted to get some opinions before I take it to the dealer. Thanks in advance

It really shouldn't be idling that high, even cold. You definetly have something to bring the car into service for. Only way i can think for it to rev that high is something is keeping the throttle butterfly open.

wow that's way too much... when really cold and when you first start the car, the highest it gets up to is about 1800 rpms and slowly starts going down.
I'm having issues with my battery dying after an hour or so stuck in traffic with my radio blasting. Damb those two Alpine AMPS!!! LOL, what I do is rev my engine just slightly when it starts to die, seems to fix it. But sure be a help if I could up my idle by like 200-300 RPM's.
Or a bigger alternator, anyone know of any good ones? a 14.4V perferably

Do you have a cap. Because then you wouldn't drain you battery. So how many watts are you pushing. I had that problem to, it was killing my battery then I got a 5 fared cap by tsunami. So that should help and work
occasionally, but I rarely blast it THAT loud...gota consider my ears you know.
But my system consists of (basically):
4x internal Polk Audio Component Db 200w speakers (Sub + tweater), 2x Sony eXplode 550w (800w Peak) subwoofers, 2x Apline 3 channel amps (each amp powers 1 sub + 2 int speakers), +2 additional tweaters in the front dash (the stock ones, didn't take em out or unhook them).
Ok, so I was wrong then...it's 1100+800 = 1,900w system. But peaks at 1600+800 = 2400w
