But my system consists of (basically):

4x internal Polk Audio Component Db 200w speakers (Sub + tweater), 2x Sony eXplode 550w (800w Peak) subwoofers, 2x Apline 3 channel amps (each amp powers 1 sub + 2 int speakers), +2 additional tweaters in the front dash (the stock ones, didn't take em out or unhook them).

Ok, so I was wrong then...it's 1100+800 = 1,900w system. But peaks at 1600+800 = 2400w

yeah, with that system, you need higher farad capacitor.

Yeah I have a 5 farad and if I were you I would go get a 3 then you should be good

I was planing on building a new custom box and replacing the subs with something bigger this summer anyway, so I'll up the cap when I do that.

I am having the same problem. I also have a 2006 Acura Rsx. I do not have warranty. I am trying to figure out this problem myself, with miminial success. Could you please let me know if you figure out the problem. Greatly appreciated!

Hi. My car would dle at 2000 rpms all the time, it also threw a CEL. The code was for the Air Idle Valve (forgot the exact name). My car was out of warantee so I bought a new one from Acura (about $300 a few years ago) and it fixed it. The old one was stuck so the step motor couldnt move it. Its screwed onto the throttle body with security screws, 5 point Torx with a raised nub in the middle - I managed to get it off with a flat tip without scratching it up. Throttle body is held on by 2 nuts and 2 bolts plus the intake tube. If all this is Greek to you try look up the RSX manual - I got mine free off the internet, probably from here I forgot. Hope this helps.

I changed out the idle control valve and it seemed to fix the problem!!!
