Like slynky said... If your not too familiar with the car take to to a shop and have them run a thorough diagnostic check on it.... I have done that in the past when buying a used car.... And it cost me about $65 but I found out that there were some serious problems with the car so I was glad I spent the money b/c it may seem like your not getting anything out of it... But in the long run I'm glad I found out instead of finding out after purchasing the car.. Good luck... It looks nice..

As long as it checks out with a mechanic I would say you're getting a hell of a deal. Buy it and let us know how much you love it

yeh im going again on friday to give it a second look. i was planning on getting it checked out by my mechanic but the only problem is my mechanic is about 45 mins from the dealer so i dont think that will happen (the car is in flemington,nj...anybody know a good place to get it checked out at around there?). just from looking at the car in person and test driving it as well as a certified Acura certified Type-S (i test drove both this car and the certified one, and so did my dad. he and i are going to test drive this one again friday morning to have one last check and see if everything checks out in comparison of the two), i am pretty confident that the car is clean but no harm in having it professionally checked out. also do you guys think it would be worth it to buy an extended warranty from warrantydirect.com or some place like that, just to be on the safe side? thanks again for all your help guys.

clean title? i saw nothing that said clean title. that could be the reason for how cheap it is. sick car though, but as a rule of thumb dont buy a modified car. i got screwed on my last one.

It goes both ways. Sometimes even stock cars get beat on as well. I've known many highly modified cars that have been taken great care of and some that haven't. You've just got to pay more attention with the modified ones.

Have you run a carfax report on it?
Any mechanic should be able to check it out.
Is that one Acura Certified or is it a private seller?

I'm not one to ask about warranties... bad experiences.

I did have the carfax and it said that there was something reported to the insurance company and that the insurance company called it interior vandalism. also the car was from virginia (2 owners had it in VA) and the third owner is this wholesaler i'm looking to buy it from (he got it from an auction in jersey). but the other type-s we test drove was acura certified. the one i am looking to buy is not. i test drove the certified one simply for comparison purposes. i still havent heard an answer about the warranty tho...any advice?

Gotcha

Personally, no I wouldn't spend my money on the warranty, but as I said I've had bad experiences with warranties.
