Interior Cleaner

Hello.

I've heard that the Lexol brand leather cleaner is supposed to be good stuff for the RSX seats but what about the rest of the interior? Can anyone recommend anything for cleaning things like the interior parts of the doors, dash, etc?

Thanks!

I think I can take this one.

Lexol is the best brand I've ever used. My seats look almost new. I probably clean and condition all the leather at least three times a year.

For the rest of the interior, I used Meguiars Interior Quik Detailer. Great stuff for a nice dust down and cleaning. Works great on every surface in the car, even for a nice wipe down on the leather seats. Amazon.com: Meguiar's G-13616 Quick Interior Mist and Wipe Detailer. 16 oz. liquid: Automotive

If your interior is extremely dirty, a diluted All Purpose Cleaner works well.

For carpets an extractor is nice to have. This is what I use on my car fleet: AllBrands.com - Bissell 14005 LITTLE green® Machine, Compact, Multi-Purpose Cleaner . For those pesky dirty spots (which aren't really a factor on dark interiors), any spot carpet cleaner works well. I haven't found much a difference between brands. They all claim to do something that the other doesn't.

Is it safe for the plastic-like areas on the door as well?

Yeah, if you're talking about the Detailer. Not sure about putting any Lexol anywhere, though. (just making sure)

The detailer leave a kind of white or slightly soapy kind of look as you wipe down the car, but it just goes away and looks good afterwards.

Opps, good point. Yeah if you were talking about Lexol, just on the seats...

Are there any chain stores that carry this? I've heard it's hard to find.

Lexol and Meguiars are really generic brands. They'll be at any auto supplies store.

Definitly the Meguiars at Autozone, Pep Boys, etc. Lexol...not sure sure. Bit the "stealership" bullet at Acura and bought mine there.

Having said that, now is the time to make your wallet break!

Car Detailing Supplies, Car Wax, Car Polishers, Car Care Products

This is the best place I've found online to shop.

And...

I'm completely sold on this item. SERIOUSLY!

Ultima Paint Guard Plus Clearcoat Paint Sealant

Expensive, but I'm expecting about 30-40 coats from mine...probably more than I'll put on a car before I die.

That is a great site. I'm hoping to buy some Poorboys Natty Blue and give my new baby a nice bath.

come on, you don't think I'll bore you guys to death with pics? I pick it up on a Saturday, and then have an entire week off to do nothing more than detail it, and then drive around and take pics of it at various locations!

I use lexol for leather areas as well. As far as everything else, damp microfiber cloth.
