Also... ever since Willie had found that x-clip from Retro-Solutions.com for the guys who did the HID conversion. I've been wanting to get it, cause I'm a perfectionist, which is why I'm taking out the Icebox. Anyway the x-clip is $15.00 but the reason I hadn't gotten it yet was because I didn't want to go through removing the bumper and all just to put those things in. However now that I ordered the CAI, I also ordered the x-clip, I figured while having the bumper off, I'll take out the headlight assembly and put the new x-clip in to hold those bulbs in there snug. I don't think anyone's got them installed yet. So I'll be sure to let you guys know how they work out. Now I'm thankful I didn't bend the wire that holds the stock clip when I was doing the HID installation.

Driss, actually I've had Todd's X-Clips since I put the HIDs in (without the projectors) back in March - and they worked out great!

Here's to all your great mods!

I thought that clear sky resembled Willie's front bumper a lot.

OldSmartAss!

I looked at the image and was like I know my eyes are bad, but I didn't think they were that bad!

I still don't know what Willie was showing except why he needs a clear coating on his front end.

Damn, Willie! I was SURE I could get away with that longer than ONE post!

Figured it would resemble some sort of universe picture.

Yeah, you know, the quick-witted kids around here kick my cranium so frequently, I HAD to try to sneak something in.

The CAI already shipped

I just hope they don't require a signature.

driss, i know you've already ordered it, but for the record... the only difference between the CRSX and regular CAI is the color, which you like.

and its not hard to install... i'd say the hardest part is to get the fitment to your liking. i had to cut some fender lining to get mine in there. the worst part was getting the bolt through the CAI tab and washer bottle at the same time

For some reason, my bottle and tab line up perfectly. Lucky, I guess.

Well just got home and looked at a few things, since I'm going from Icebox to CAI instead of stock to CAI, there are a couple of things I need to do in the process of installation. For example, the stock "hard" clutch line had to be replaced with a flexible line provided with the icebox, but that's staying in. However in order for the snorkle of the icebox to go where it needed to go, there was a stock bracket that had to be uninstalled, so I'll have to find where it goes and put it back in. As far as the little hose that connects the icebox to the block, the stock one had to be taken out up to the little U-shaped fitting and replaced with one provided with the icebox, so I know unlike Chuck I'm not going to have that problem I think everything else is pretty straight forward.

Here you can see what I'm talking about:

And I also just thought of something, after installing the HID conversion kit, here is what my "underneath the headlight" looks like. I'm sure I'll figure it out, but do you think I'm going to have to do a lot of reorganizing of those wires?

DJ... thank you for the input, I just hope I don't get red washer bottle. I was looking at Chuck's and it was kinda hurting my eye a little
Also, I wouldn't go back to stock, try playing with it a little until you get it right, I think I'm going to have to do a lot of playing with it because of the fog lights.

driss, you don't even need to touch those cables while installing/removing the washer bottle. but if i were you, i'd use some zip ties on it.
