It doesn't signify any problems. Just letting you know that you have a service comming up soon.

Oil change due or you didn't reset it after your last oil change. Just a reminder indicator.

That light automatically comes on at a set mileage interval, just to remind you it's time for an oil change if you're going by the manual intervals.

also, the light flashes longer the closer you get to that set mileage. then once you're at that mileage, it stays on til you reset it. but nothing to worry about. nothing is wrong

Ok i am having the same problem. I have a 2004 Acura TL automatic. 105425 miles. I just changed the oil yesterday was about 400 miles over due. I also changed the spark plugs with a fresh set of ngk's. I tried to reset the maintanence light but it didn't go off. The light says maintanence required B4. So I looked up what the B4 was for in the owners manual and it said to

The "B" means:
Replace oil and filter
Rotate Tires
Inspect front and rear brakes and parking brake
Inspect suspension, fuel lines,exhaust system.

The "4" means:
Replace spark plugs
replace timing belt and check water pump
Inspect valve clearance

How do I turn off the Maintanence Required light . I tried to do it but it didn't turn off. Did I do something wrong? Here is what I did. On the MID I went to the screen were it says the mileage and oil life. Then I held down the reset button. Nothing happened. I have done this many times before and the MID would ask if I wanted to reset and I press ok. But it didn't turn off???

You'll probably get more help asking your question in the TL section since you guys have the onboard display and we just have a light, but here are the instructions for the RSX. Worth a shot IMO

You put your key in
leave the key in off and hold the trip meter reset button for 5 sec
keep holding the button and turn the key to the ON or II position
keep holding until the light turns off
If all it does is reset your trip meter, go back and try it again

alternitive:
take it to the dealer to get it turned off.

Change your oil, if you've done that recently then just reset the light. It's just a reminder set to go off at specific intervals.
