Maintenance Required light (instructions to shut it off) - Acura Forum

Hi. I recently bought a '02 Type-S and the "Maint Req'd" light just came on. I already read when and for what maintenance (at whatever mileage) it is on for, but I couldnt find how you turn it off. I downloaded the service manual (40 meg file) but didnt see it in there either. Can anyone tell me exactly what page in the manual its in, or how to turn it off if its a simple fix? Thanks!

You put your key in
leave the key in off and hold the trip meter reset button for 5 sec
keep holding the button and turn the key to the ON or II position
keep holding until the light turns off
If all it does is reset your trip meter, go back and try it again

alternitive:
take it to the dealer to get it turned off.
