What are the gains on the Type-R intake manifold? Any special fabrication to install it with an Injen CAI?

So, TM-RSX, you not worried about warranty? Just curious.

What kind of mods do you have currently?

You need to have a lot mods to get benefit from the Type-R intake manifold. And I'm talking about I/H/E, cams, etc.

Right now I only have intake, but I plan on getting a shorty header, high flow cat, fujitsubo powergetter, k-pro and possibly cams if I'm not happy after everything else.

Then you should benefit from the Type-R intake manifold. But right now, I would spend the money on those first. Get the intake manifold as one of your last mod.

Nope, for the most part an aftermarket piece is only going to cause damage because of a.) improper installation or b.) driver error. Just because you put an aftermarket part on doesn't mean that that part will fail. It make make your car more suseptable to damage (such as hydrolocking) but again, the part itself will not do it, it will be driver error (driving into a lake).

but what if something fails that relates to the mod and you take it into the dealership "under warranty" and they say sorry, can't help ya because you've modified the vechile

They can only refuse you service if they can prove that the part you had installed caused the problem. i.e. if your cylinder starts misfiring, they cant refuse service because of your aftermarket exhaust. Plus if something did go wrong with a modded part, that is why u keep all your stock parts around to do a quick swaparoo.
