You need to find someone with the JDM hookups. Basically, you're gonna need the calipers, disk, hub, and lower control arm to get it all to work... and of course 17" wheels with enough back spacing to clear the caliper.

Brembo make big brake kits, they are good because the increase the braking surface and have more pots (pistons) so push against the rotors harder. Overall they produce shorter stopping distances and better temperature longevity.

True that they make aftermarket big brake kits, and some of the caliper options that you have with that kit are sometimes better then the JDM OE Brembo system (in terms of caliper stiffness, pad size, area, and cooling). But when most people ask about the brembos for DC5, most of them tend to be asking about the OE JDM system.Sometimes it's worth it to go with an aftermarket kit, just for the ease of installation.

If you're really not going to be all out racing like I do, the stock Type S brakes work awesome with some aftermarket pads (that's what I run). But there are a some big brake kits that are fine with the street but can also double up for track duity.

Rotora makes a nice big brake kit system that's really affordable. They tend to be more of a street system then a track BBK, but they are willing for track abuse as well.

Willwood also makes a great bit brake kit system as well. The Willwoods are cheaper then the Rotora as they are also smaller, but they are more track ready. Only complaints I've really heard was the frequency of needing to rebuild the caliper (from porsche and some integra owners) and their plain jane looks.

SSBC also has a kit, but nobody's really tried it out, so I really can't tell you much about them.

Stoptech has an awesome kit that's both street and track friendly. It's probably one of the best kits out there on the market and IMO, they're probably getting better then the brembo systems. They're also cheaper then the brembo, but more expensive then the kits listed above.

Brembo. Ah, the almighty brembo system. What is there about this system that people don't like except for price? Everybody already knows about this system, so I'm not gonna say much.

There are some speculation regarding fitting the new Alcon calipers that come on the new TL and RL onto our cars as well as accords. Now, it's do-able, but you're also going to be working a lot harder to get everything to work right. Because not only are you going to need the caliper, you're gonna need a rotor that will fit your hub as well as the caliper, fab a custom caliper bracket, get a brake master cylender, and an opprate prop valve.

Oh, and just OT, I noticed a spelling correction that needs to be made in the title. I'll just go ahead and fix it for ya

sorry for bringing this post back up, but i have a question for C25A1guy,

Which aftermarket brake pads are you running? because i need to change mine so it would be a good idea to go with better pads (i dont have cash for the whole kit )

I'm running Project Mu HC Titan Kai pads ($175 a set). Pretty much the most aggressive "street" pad I've ever ran.

Ok, differant brake question for ya.

I'm gonna AutoX the car on weekends...Do you think a BBk is needed. Cause its between that and new discs, pads, and lines...(A lot cheaper). So bottom line, BBK worth it just for AutoX?
