question.
can someone confirm to me if the circled item below is the heater for the side mirror or what.......
i know the other piece is the actuator

 Seriously though, Willie, I believe the actual heating coil is in the glass (similar to your rear window defroster). When you took teh glass out did it have an electrical wire coming right out of the glass? If not I would guess the actuator has the heat function. I think the part you circled just holds everything in place.
