Short Ram Intake
Well, I think it's about time I got an intake. I'm sick of my car sounding tame. I'm thinking Injen SRI. Anyone have any reason I shouldn't go injen?
And don't waste our time with "go CAI" unless you're willing to sign a contract saying you will pay the $6,500 repair bill if it hydrolocks.

Junior's Teg has a Skunk II on it, and I really like the throaty sound of it.
I can't really see where an Injen would be that much different. And on the CAI. Just not worth the risk.

injen is good. samething with aem.
i don't have any reason that you shouldn't go with injen. just in case, here's another option for you. AEM CAI with the Air Bypass Valve.

Comptech ice box if you can find one or the AEM V2. Better than the SRI.

AEM or Injen. Although any reputable company should be basically selling the same thing when it comes to SRI's. I liked my AEM cause they used K&N filters, last I knew.

Why not just make your own intake, or buy a cheap one off eBay, and slap and K&N filter on it.
Even with a CAI, your still going to be sucking up hot air, when is hot outside.

I had a CAI on my old RSX. I had it on there for almost 2 years. In one time of letting someone else drive it, that someone else being an Acura dealer, while it was in for service, I was left with a hydrolocked engine and a $6,500 repair bill. A couple extra HP aren't worth that to me anymore.
Next person who says CAI will get a temporary ban.

What about... Cold Air Return?
I was looking at the K&N SRI awhile back when I thought I had money to mod a leased car. It was like 180 something.

Well, I don't mind. I researched it like hell...like I'm doing my wheels and tires and shit.
From what I remember, Injen CAI had the BEST HP gain (after looking over several places that compared them). Yeah, I worry about mine but I just take it easy in the rain. I mean, I don't worry about light rain. Heavy rain. I watch for the puddles. I watch for water puddling on the roads. When it rains, I'm careful. Can't believe I'd ever drop it off to some POS outfit that would park it on some back lot that floods. I mean, Jesus ! I post signs on the steering wheel when I leave it. "DO NOT WASH THIS CAR!" in red letters...'cause I don't want it run through a washer with the engine running. So, I still live dangerously but carefully. Seems a waste to take something that's going to get 5-7 HP less and THEN spend $800 (for example) on an exhaust system to get 5-7 HP gain. FTW.

Fujita has a package that includes both CAI and SRI in case it rains. And your homeboy here is an authorized Fujita dealer. Look at their dealer list. Look for Honsport
