ugh. seriously ugh.

Called em again, said they were going to try to get it PAINTED this friday afternoon, not for me to pick it up. Hopefully it will be ready monday (marking exactly 4 weeks since it first got to the shop)

My luck is still shitty

Actually, wondering if there is anything such as service in the US any more. Body shops sound worse than doctors and dentists !

Body shops do tend to take a long time. But, sounds like they want to get it right.

Just think what a great day it will be to drive that baby out of there!!!

Naw, I thinks it's bullshit. It doesn't take that long to do a damn car. What is happening is that because it's an insurance job, they don't give a shit because he's locked into using them...meanwhile, in order to keep the "paying" customers, they move his car to the side and let it set.

That is the problem, i have been wanting that feeling about 4 weeks now, and every time it gets nearer to me finally driving it, its gets pushed back another two or three days. Kinda not the best feeling in the world. In fact, i am very certain that i lose more and more faith in this planet every time i call on the day it is to be ready and they tell me it isnt.

I mean i do understand that they take a while, i knew that when they first told me it was going to take three weeks to fix it. The thing i am getting really pissed about is that they find it perfectly acceptable to tack on almost a whole extra week and not tell me about the delays unless i wait till the last minute to call them.

Also, because my car was dropped a bit, it had camber kits on it. When they told me it was going to get aligned monday, and i pick it up after that, i was worried they would not adjust the camber right (just like they did to the previous owner 2 days before i got the car. So i called em up just a while ago and told them to make special note of rolling the fenders some and adjusting the camber to where the tires dont rub. Luckily for me (sarcasm) the guy sounded like he had no idea what I was talking about.

So now i am also worried about finally getting the car, driving it home,a nd noticed that the tires are rubbing against the fenders, then having to wait probably another week for them to fix that. Just in time for me to have to start working again and right after that having college kick in.

So yea, my entire summer (aside from the 1.5 days i actually drove the car) has been spent waiting for something to happen...and so far it hasnt.

PS: Not to mention i have an extreme urge to murder half my friends who think it is a riot for them to do nothing but make fun of the accident whenever they are around me.

LOL, that sucks man. I can't wait to check the pictures you've posted (I'm at work right now). I just got my TSX a week and a half ago, and I remember driving it for the first few days saying, "please don't get in an acident!" I did opt for GAP insurance on the loan, because I will owe just a few grand over the low end retail value, however, if I can get some expected fund$$$ coming in, I might be able to do that and cancel the GAP insurance, and put my total collision deductable back to $500.

Dude, I'd let you take mine for a spin if I could...

I just hope you don't have the fender roll problem you mentioned.

well we called em a while back, and they said they were test driving it tonight, after the alignment. hopefully they were looking for the tires rubbing at all, but maybe they just wanted to have some fun

anyways, they said everything is finished on it, and i could pick it up anytime tomorrow. so we set the appointment for 10 am and we'll see what comes of it now. hopefully no more delays, but then again the last 5 times i have said that, there have been delays.

Well, i saw the car for the first time in 4 weeks today, it is out of the body shop, but my mom, being the bitch that she is, insisted that we take it to the acura dealership right when we got it out of the shop to go get the airbag sensor fixed (factory recall). Anyway, because they were so backed up, the guy said it will take most of the day to get it fixed.

She also would not let me drive it from the body shop to the dealer because she claimed that i would not have enough experience with the car to take it on the HWY. Because, you know, its only been TWENTY YEARS since she's driven a stick.

Basically, the car is ready, but i still haven't driven it...

So anyway, i should actually be driving my car later on tonight, and i assure you i will be taking TONS of pics...well that is if i can find the time away from sitting behind the wheel to take em.

The body shop looks they they actually did a EXCELLENT job on it, from what i could tell...granted they also burned a half a tank of gas "test driving" it once they got the body work and alignment done. But talking to the guys who worked on it, it seems like they really do care for the car. They heard this looong sad story of mine, and seemed very sympathetic. Now, after having spent so much time around the car (and in it) i think they have fallen in love with it too. Most of the cars they work on are trucks or the sort anyway, so a sporty RSX-S was a welcome change.

Thanks for the support guys, and i am definitely sticking around, you all are great!!!!!
