Timing Belt for RSX type-s

When should i replace the timing belt on my 02 rsx type s, after how many miles?? and is there much difference in the kind of timing belt i get?? Also how do i know if my timing belt is getting bad? any signs that i could look for???

the RSX has a chain instead of a belt so theoretically you won't need to replace it. HOWEVER, the manual recommends that you get it inspected at 110k i think. Maybe get the tensioner adjusted or something. I couldn't tell you the signs other than actually looking at it.

oh i see... so then its an accessory belt that i'm looking at then?? i see a belt on the motor by where the PS fluid is at. But the reason i ask is because lately when i rev it in reversing or pulling forward a lil the motor will just shut off.. also i noticed it does it like say if i'm on the freeway with the a/c on or on reg street i go through the gears but when i put my clutch in, to put in N the rpms drop to zero causing the motor to shut off.. What could this be? i thought maybe something to do with the timing?? but i dnt know.. also, sometimes the rpms drop to like 600 and come back up to 1000

my car was doing this yesterday, stalled on me 3 times in town with the AC on full, scared the shit outa me.

any idea on why it does this?? also rpm have been dropping a lot more lately

Not sure if this will help but I had a similer problem on an older integra and I realized it was a small vacuum hose that kept slipping off. I fixed it by putting a zip tie around the connection.
