Car 3: 1994 Integra LS
I think he should get a Volvo S60R. I like those, but does he?

Next I'd suggest: (all of these come with a stick, btw)
Jaguar X-Type
BMW 330iC
Lexus IS300
VW Passat V6 or W8. W8 comes with 4motion and a stick, the V6 + 4motion is not an option in the states.
Porsche 968 -good examples go for ~$20,000; however, they are 12 years old.

Stuff along those lines.

I testdrove a Volvo S60R. It was nice, but i expected a lot more out of it. It was a pretty bland drive.
