I looked at the Motegi Tracklite 1.0 and they used to make it with a machined lip but not any more. The only one they make now is the flat black. For my own opinion, that's too much black...black wheel against a black tire.

BUT, I see them a lot on darker cars, it seems. Some lighter ones.

Willie's car is hot ! He says it's black but in some of the photos of his, it looked dark dark silverish gunmetal sort of color. As I recall, his wheels seem mostly black. Might have to go take a look now and see.

at the time, i didn't do too much research or spend time thinking about the wheels. i just saw it on the shelf and thought it'd look good on the car. plus, i got a good discount on it cuz me and my 2 friends bought at the same time. i don't remember how much i saved cuz it's been awhile.

but if were to buy another set, it'd be a whole new story. i'd probably go more with less weight.

thanks chuck.......yeah it's black from a distance but if you take a closer look, you'll see dark bluish metalic pearls or whatever it's called. that's why they called it "NightHawk Black Pearl".
