The wheels look nice on that car. Really nice. (they weigh too much for me, though)

Yea thats what I told my brother (I know crap about cars).. but I was reading your thread and looking at how much ya'lls wheels were weighing 9-12 pounds.. Big difference there. I have been reading a lot about wheel sizes and tire sizes and what they mean lol trying to not look so stupid asking all of these questions so those are the wheels I like right now but I am trying to find some that are weigh less as we speak. How bout the tires, was it you that said you were getting those S Drives?

Naw, seriously, wheels and tires have, IMO, two reasons guiding purchase. Either looks or speed. (of course, within either area, money is a concern)

The stock "S" wheels weigh in about 20 lbs. Some say otherwise but so far, the vote is about 20. Anything weighing less than that will help out with moving out "just a wee bit faster". Same goes for tires. From what I can tell the tire on the "S" weighs about 20 lbs. Anything less is less weight to put into motion. So, choose speed or looks (or a combo of both).

BTW, just kidding about the age and location. (But, you DID use a "ya'll in that one message... )

Hahaha, gotta throw in the ya'lls here and there ya know

I am going to go with the combo speed and looks hehe so say a wheel weighing anywhere from 15-18 pounds that looks good is prolly what I need Gunmetal or black is what Im shooting for.

I got some searching to do

Why are these so expensive when they weigh 28 pounds? WTF??? 375 bucks for these??
17 x7 *4-New! MB Drifter Wheels/Rims 5x100 5x114.3 17x7: A(73283)4 2-Day Parts

I am having issues finding wheels that are under 20 pounds, most are 20+ pounds, I have found zero below that...

Is there a website you guys use that I am not aware of?

Hey, if you like that wheel, you might like the one I ordered on Monday.

5-Zigen Fn01r_C Black Gloss Wheel Rim at WheelsNext.com

I wanted 16's but the guy said it would be 3 months before Japan even considered putting the 16's into production again. And the 17's only weighed about a pound more (15.5). So, I went with them. $207 shipped. Next week some time.

It looks a lot like that one you were looking at. FWIW.

Try this site:

WHEELWEIGHTS.NET

It's farily reliable, I think. Some sites DO list them but not many. When I talked to the guy over the phone, I asked him what the wheels weighed and he called 5-Zigen in Cali. He said 15.5 and this site said 16. He said he'd believe the distributer in Cali before a website.

But you can sort the list several ways and then if you think you like something, go do a search for it.

BTW, the offset on the ones I ordered are at the outer limits of acceptable. +35. Which means they will push 10mm further outward on the car...which is OK since I'm only droping the car a little.

Thanks, we'll see. (kinda scared)

I still think those titanium lips would look good with VBP. THAT color AND the Candy Apple Red sort of color still look good with some gold next to them.

Someone posted some of them in here before but here's a quickie pic of what I'm talking about:

Titanium - ClubWRX Forum - Subaru Impreza WRX and STi Community and Forums

(it's an WRX forum, so no biggie, I hope)
