Call me the antichrist, but other than the first one I really didn't think those movies were anything special.

Ok, you are the anti-christ. One was good, two was awful, three somewhere in between.

Sequels are rarely better than the first films in series. With a few notable exceptions.

Or Godfather, and Godfather II? I really liked Godfather III in spite of the really wacky plot threads in there.

Man, I thought all 3 Back to the Futures were great.

Then again, it might've been because they were a few of the movies my parents would actually let my brothers and I watch as kids, so it's got a lot of sentimental value.

Sorry to step on your memories. But, well, you had a pretty conservative childhood, huh?

I would guess that your dad doesn't do like I do with my kid as he goes out the door: "Be good, son. If you can't be good, don't name it after me."

It's all good, and yes, for the most part.

My mom makes fun of it and my dad takes every chance he gets to try and get me into jazz

Some of which I actually like, believe it or not.

There is an old song from the early 80s that went something along the lines of "momma let him go, play the rock and roll, jazz is way to crazy, he can play it when he's old..."

I wish to heck I could remember who recorded it. Memory is one of the first things to go. I personally like jazz when I want to sleep.

Jazz is stupid hard to play, for me anyways. There's very few styles I can't at least play passably, but I can't even fake jazz. Someday I'll learn it for real.

I should also add that the music I listen to became much less of a big deal when my brothers started drinking and crashing cars

Yeah, that would tend to take attention somewhere else.

Especially when:

1.) My 16-year-old brother has smashed up his friend's parent's car while driving smashed, to the tune of $3k or so in damage, when he didn't even have his permit yet;

2.) My other brother (19 now) has gotten into 4 serious accidents since he started driving, all of which were his fault.

I mean, come on, I drive fast, but I don't drive like a retard.
