# Who would you take with you on a road trip?

Probably my best friends, Adam Will and Mike.

# What states would you visit?

I'm sure we could find fun in any state we visited. Since it's a road trip I'd love to hit the tail of the dragon, then on to New Orleans.

# What national parks and/or monuments would you go see?

I'd like to see Mount Rushmore

# Las Vegas: Overrated or a Must-See?

definite must see!

# How long would you be gone?

A week is about enough for me, which is why I don't do many roadtrips

Well, my wife of course, but if it could be anyone? Might have to ditch her for a little road trip with Bill Gates (I'd let him pick up the tab)

# What states would you visit?

Without parameters, ALL of them

# What national parks and/or monuments would you go see?

Been to most of them already...not sure.

# Las Vegas: Overrated or a Must-See?

Overrated. The huge hotels are interesting but I had more fun outside at the dam and Fire Valley

# How long would you be gone?

Till it was DONE !

# Who would you take with you on a road trip?

Almost always my wife. Next summer, though, an old friend of mine and I are planning a Civil War Battlefield tour in the East.

# What states would you visit?

PA, VA, NC, SC.

# What national parks and/or monuments would you go see?

Mt. Vernon, Monticello, Ft. Sumpter, etc.

# Las Vegas: Overrated or a Must-See?

Definite "must-see" at least once. Vegas isn't something that anybody should over do. Less than two weeks before we will be there.

# How long would you be gone?

I don't like to be gone from home more than a week or so at a time.

(Gettysburg is my favorite of the ones I've seen...then again, I played the hell out of Terrible Swift Sword, a detailed strategy game using all the historical units)

I've done a great deal of research into the life of Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. He was truly a great man.

Had to check him out. So, I see he was the one at Little Round Top. Medal of Honor.

No doubt, Gettysburg was a battle with many fronts and tactical points. One of the reaons I like it so much. That it was such an incredible battle with so much loss, it's no wonder Lincoln's address was so moving.

Personally, my favorite was Jackson, who routinely fought agasint superior numbers and managed, somehow to do well.

But just walking around Gettysburg...it's like there's a monument for every unit that was there. Little Round Top seems little now. Granite boulders still poke out of the ground and (when I was there) the trees are still there.

Just being there makes one sad. If you're an American and it doesn't, then you're lacking something.
