Definitely crashed hard around 10:00 last night, but now I've gotta get packed and head to work, cause after work I hit the road and MTW goes to Charlotte this weekend!

I'll probably be back a good bit today, cause I'm sure work on the 4th of July will be boring as crap.

I don't function without sleep! Not sure how I installed my SRI yesterday with as little sleep as I got.

heading off to the suburbs to celebrate the holiday and my Dad's birthday. I got him Cubs tickets, 8th row down the first base line in the outfield, spent a fortune so I think he'll be happy . Oh and I'm going to wax my baby with Natty's Blue for the first time Pics to follow.

Great idea!!

I will take some birthday pics of her.

You guys have to understand that Golden Retrievers are notorious for not having exceptionally long life spans. In fact, the rule of thumb is to count every day past 10 years as a great blessing.

Fortunately, she is in great shape and great health.

Really? I mean, I know, in general, bigger dogs live shorter lives than smaller ones. But are you saying golden retrievers and even an exception to that?

Yep. They are prone to a smorgas board of health issues. The methods used in developing the breed, incredibly poor breeding standards in the 70s and 80s when they were "The Breed To Own", and being a large dog. Out of the four we've had, Rosie is the first to make it to 10 years. One dropped dead from a poor heart right in the yard, and another we had to have put down for tremendously malformed hips.

Our first one, JJ, died at 9 1/2 from canine leukemia.

However, they have such incredible personalities that even people that are uncomfortable around dogs are prone to like their affection and good nature.

No doubt they have one of the best dispositions of all dogs. Labs come to mind, as well.

10 Years, that's not a lot of time. Our oldest cat is 11 and I had one die at 13. I'm already getting "that feeling".

*drumroll*

Electronic Express on West End in Nashville, TN for refusing to tell me what their price on a TV is when I make a routine phone call over there for a price match!

Seriously, imagine that scene from anchorman where the news teams rumble in the street, except with me and another dude over the phone. I eventually told him to screw off and hung up.

Heck, had worse than that happen to me. Circuit City had a match ad and I told them Best Buy had it at such and such a price. They refused to match till they saw it in print. Drove BACK to Best Buy (who just happend to be OUT of that item), took the black and yellow price tag from behind the shelf, took it back to CC and they refused again.
