I've been told to slow down while driving under the speed limit. Some people are just idiots and have no idea how to judge someones speed....In the story above though who knows, it says the tires were screeching, but you know how news story's go....What these kid's did though is despicable, what ever happened to just egging someones house or putting a burning bag of dog shit on their front steps....

No I was referring to a completely different situation that Ska brought up, about people expecting you to drive slower than the marked speed limit through their neighborhoods....Then I went on to say, that what these kids did was despicable, and whether or not they were speeding means absolutely nothing in this case....

And that's fine, they're the idiot, not you. You can't affect other people's idiocy.

I guess I'll never understand people who basically say "I was breaking the law, and someone told me to stop, so I flicked them off." I mean, try this on for size:

"I was robbing this old lady, and someone told me to stop, so I flicked them off".

Or

"I was kicking the shit out of a girl, and someone told me to stop, so I flicked them off."

Or

"I was raping this woman, and someone told me to stop, so I flicked them off."

Listen, I belong to a car forum, I understand the appeal of speed. But in a neighborhood? Makes no fucking sense to me. Too many bad things can happen in a neighborhood that bear out the saying "most accidents happen within five miles of home." Go get in the left lane and speed on the highway if you are so pressed. I mean, wow, gee...40 MPH in a neighborhood! You go, Mighty Mouse.

I'm sure the fact that I typically roll by blasting something like Lamb of God or Black Dahlia Murder doesn't help either.
It could just be because you're wrong. Let's see, you're breaking a posted law, I assume at 24 you can comprehend road signs...and the "rich old people" are wrong here? Hey Ska, if nothing else you're good at deflecting and passing judgment.

This is probably one of the best replies you have ever posted, duck. I couldn't agree with this more and definitely couldn't have stated it better.

And for the record, and this needs to be repeated from time to time to remind people: Acura World does NOT condone or support any activity which is illegal or in any way puts our members, pedestrians, or any other innocent bystanders at risk.

Our motto has always been and will always be: Take It To The Track!!

Things like that happen way too often...I heard about a couple of things like that here too, not always beaten to death, but at least beaten. A guy at my train station was punched several times because he asked a guy (probably drunk) to stop smoking in the train...

Next time I think I'll move to Iceland or something like that.

I agree with your conclusions: There seems to be a real loss of "community spirit" in this world. Everyone is about "me - me - me" and phuck everyone else!

25-30mph is the speed limit for residential neighborhoods in MA, 20mph in a school zone....Tennessee ranges from 25-45, which is where Ska is living....

Not true. 1mph over the speed limit is still speeding. Just because a cop doesn't pull you over for it doesn't mean its not illegal. Back in my hometown we did have someone get pulled over for 26 mph in a 25 zone.

BULLSHIT. Where do you people learn driving laws, Need For Speed? The utter fucking ignorance on the interwebs is mind-boggling.

We can debate if a speed limit is an arbitrarily determined limit, I have no problem with that (for instance, why do we have to do 65MPH on a highway in Montana?). We can debate if the speed is set too high in a school zone. But to say "your [sic] allowed 5mph over the posted speed limit" is just ignorant. I don't know if I should laugh or cry at this point.
