03 cls vs Impala SS

OK Me stock 03 CLS. Other dude in a Black Mid 90's Impala SS. I think maybe a 96?

Stopped at a light, begining of a interstate. Light turns green and we both punch it. I would say got to about half a mile before he had to slow down becuase other car merged into his lane....

Results a tie, all the way we were neck to neck... Would have been really interesting to see who would have pulled away.

Anyone every race a Impala?

I think you would win. It would be a close race though there are a few mid 90's ss impalas running in the very low 15's at my local track with little or no mods. Your car properly driven should give you a high to mid 14 second quarter mile.

Heh, that's a choked down Corvette engine in those cars... fast for basically a Chevy Caprice. They are pretty big and heavy cars... stock vs. stock, a CLS should win.

The LT1 engine on those cars pull so much torque. But stock vs Stock it would be pretty close.
