The mid 90's Impalla SS cars use something like a 275 hp LT-1 powerplant and typically run about 14.8 to 15.1 stock. They are torquers, but all have auto trannies. With a few mods, they can be low 14 sec cars despite their weight. Watch out for them on the road!

Why Not?
I just wanted to start a thread to shine some light on someone elses idea that older Impallas are fast. Maybe more than a few of us have raced them??? They can really haul ass and are considered (in my opinion) to be the equivalent of a domestic TL Type-S or a legend Type-II. They also have RWD which really helps them launch hard (along w/torque of 5.7L V8).
