Buttonwillow

Well, I'll say I had a so-so day at buttonwillow. Good part was I was able to get a pretty good time for the configuration I was running (1st time running this config) and I got awesome video (would someone like to host for me? About 80 megs, 20 some odd min). The bad part was during my 2nd track session, my oil cap blew off at some point so that ended my day early, I couldn't find my wheel lock key so I couldn't switch to the victoracers, and the clean-up after. Hopefully next time I go out, I'll have a better day.

Oh, and would someone like to be generous enough to host the vid?

Beautiful action shot of me getting a little tail out over "Lost Hill". Almost in tri-pod mode!

Dennis now has a copy of the vid. If you got hosting space, put it up and share for me

"Me getting chased by a '06 STi" Were y'all running clockwise? That looks like the 180° bowl before heading to the chicanes. I managed to get too far left going into the bowl, dropped a wheel off the left edge, and promptly spun to the inside during one of my sessions there in my SE-R last year.

I can see someone went off-road behind you

Thinking of the wrong track. That's streets of willow springs. I was at buttonwillow. We were running config #13, CCW.

The shots were taken right after the sweeper and going into "lost hill"

D'oh!

I ran Buttonwillow back in '99. My first ever track event and no instructor! Managed to drop a wheel off there, too, coming off Grapevine...straddled the entire length of the curb until the track bent right at Club Corner whereupon I "rejoined the programming already in progress".

Ah, yes, the good old days. First track event. First run with big sway bars. First day on race rubber. What a hoot! I might have gotten each corner right once but never on the same lap.

Well, it would be a class of one. To my knowledge, there's no other SE-R in the region running NASA and I'd be one of the very few in SCCA IT in the central US (since an IT car can pretty much run as is per the Cup rules). There is some interest developing on the Other Coast.

So, you know any of the Cup guys?
