Finally...
Well, I finally got an opportunity to go against a WRX. The setup was perfect...red light, dead-straight three-lane back road and no traffic. I got a great start (VSA off and wearing bulky sandles) and took him by one car length at a 1/4-mile then he passed me handily right after I shifted into 4th...then I backed off.
After hearing so much about the WRX I thought he was going to take me easily. Needless to say, I'm a happy guy right now. OK...I know this thread is going to get moved but do an old-timer a favor and at least let it stay here for a day or so.
